What do I need to use this app?
Smart scales and a wearable. Smart scales give us your body composition. A wearable — WHOOP, Oura, Garmin, whatever you use — gives us your recovery data. We need your body data. We do the rest. That's the magic.
Does the app tell me what to eat?
No. You already know what to eat. Best Mode tells you how much — protein, carbs, fat — calculated from your actual body data, not a population average.
Is this a diet app?
No. There's no food database, no barcode scanner, no calorie logging. The goal isn't to count — it's to know. Your targets are set from your biology. You eat to hit them.
Why does my protein target change?
Because your body changes. Protein is calculated from your current weight — updated every time you enter new scales data. It also adjusts for age. If you're over 50, your body is less efficient at building muscle. The formula accounts for that automatically.
Why does my water target change?
It's driven by your body water percentage — the lower it is, the higher your target. Most apps give you a fixed number. Best Mode gives you the number your biology is asking for, today.
